Minister Sushri Thakur reviewed the activities of Sahitya Academy

Under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the thoughts of revolutionaries, patriots and great men who made their important contribution in the Indian freedom struggle should reach the youth through literature. This will inculcate nationalism and love for the country in them. This was stated by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Spirituality Sushri Usha Thakur while reviewing the activities of Marathi, Sindhi, Bhojpuri Sahitya and Urdu Academy in Mantralaya. Sushri Thakur said that cultural activities and programs should be organized not only in major cities but in all districts and towns of the state. Along with upgrading the literature of Marathi, Sindhi, Bhojpuri and Urdu, translate them into Hindi language as well. This will bridge the conceptual gap between languages.
State level program on 18 August on the Samadhi of Bajirao Peshwa
While discussing the activities of Marathi Sahitya Akademi, Minister Shri Thakur directed that a state level program should be organized on 18th August at the Samadhi of Bajirao Peshwa at Ravarkhedi located in Khargone. The tomb site will be developed as a tourist destination. Along with this, on the death anniversary of great revolutionary Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on August 1, translate the thoughts of his wonderful literature ‘Gita Rahasya’ in simple language. These thoughts of Gita Rahasya should be conveyed to the students through social and digital media. This will make the students aware of their duties and responsibilities towards the Nation. Sushri Thakur directed to document the cultural heritage like old temples, Garhi of Marathi families settled in different districts over the years and their culture. In various universities of the state, the HOD of Marathi Literature Department should be called and held a meeting regarding the upgradation of Marathi literature.
Translate Sindhi literature from Arabic script to Devanagari script
Minister Sushri Thakur said that Sindhi literature should be translated from Arabic script into Devanagari script. With this more and more people will be able to get acquainted with Sindhi literature and Sindhi literature will be upgraded. Produce literature and drama on the lives of great men and revolutionaries of Sindhi society who contributed to the freedom struggle.
Organize a program on the literary contribution of great revolutionary Ram Prasad Bismil
Reviewing the activities of Urdu Academy, Sushri Thakur said that programs should be organized on the literary contribution of great revolutionary Ramprasad Bismil, so that the youth of the country could be inspired by his nationalist ideas. Along with this, translate the ideology of Sufi saints and Sufi literature in Hindi also, this will reduce the distance between the two languages.
Song and Bhajan program based on Chhath context will be organized in Mhow
Sushri Thakur said that according to the activities of Kala Panchang of Bhojpuri Sahitya Academy, programs based on songs and bhajan related to Chhath context can be organized in Mhow. Research the literature of Bhojpuri litterateurs and artists such as musicians Chitragupta and Motilal Upadhyay. Sushri Thakur said that ‘Vijay Utsav’ based on the contribution of Veer Kunwar Singh and ‘Nirgun Samaroh’ based on Nirgun Bhakti should be organized. This will increase the interest of Bhojpuri literature among the people and they will also be able to get acquainted with the contributions of the great men of the Bhoj region.
In the meeting, Director, Culture Shri Aditi Kumar Tripathi, Director Marathi Sahitya Academy Shri Uday Paranjpe, Director Sindhi Sahitya Academy Shri Rajesh Kumar Wadhwani, Director Bhojpuri Sahitya Academy Dr. P.K. Jha, and Director Urdu Academy Dr. Nusrat Mehdi along with concerned departmental officers were present.
