One of the coolest features coming to iPhones is copy and pasting text from photos. Called Live Text, the feature will be available to iPhone users with iOS 15. However, if like us, you have downloaded the beta version of iOS 15, you can immediately use the feature. iOS 15 beat has been rolled out earlier this month. Though a word of caution: since it’s a public beta version, one can expect to encounter a few bugs and lags in some apps. Or it could be a totally smooth experience as well but still think before downloading iOS 15. Having said that if you do download there will be a host of new features that you can use before others. Like Live Text, which allows users to copy and paste text from photos. Wondering how? Follow these steps:
Open the Photos app on the iPhone.
Look for a photo that has some words — a place, restaurant or even a product tag.
Now, long press and hold the words to select. You will now see the copy option.
If the text is too small, then pinch to zoom on the photo.
Copy the text and open an app that supports text input — Google Search for example.
Select paste from the pop up menu and you will get all the information you need.
