Actor and comedian Kevin Hart appeared as Peyton and Eli Manning’s second guest on their “Monday Night Football” Manningcast, and he instantly became one of the fan favorites this season.
Throughout the segment, Hart and Eli Manning poked fun at each other, starting with Hart — an Eagles fan — making fun of the former New York quarterback’s claim he was “always a Giant.” Hart got on and said, “You’re a Giant forever? You can never shake that?”
Eli responded in kind, making an indirect comment about Hart’s height (he is listed between 5-2 and 5-4):
“You know, Eli, I see what you’re doing here. It’s very childish,” Hart replied. “There’s other words that we can use to describe it without you emphasizing the word ‘big.'”
Hart then accused the Mannings of having a fake brotherly relationship for television. He was joking, of course.
“I’ll tell you what else I see through — this fake brotherhood that you and Peyton have,” Hart said. “I know the truth, you don’t like each other. The gig is up, boys. Nobody believes it. Because if you did get along, you’d be sitting next to each other in the room!”
That didn’t stop Eli from continuing with the height jokes. The Manning brother brought up the time Hart played with older brother Peyton, his 10-year-old son and his friends in Mexico. Hart replied saying it was a “lowball.”
Hart made sure to get the younger Manning back again for this comment, this time referencing a 2018 episode of his “Cold as Balls” show with Odell Beckham Jr., in which Hart made a meme of his face:
Fans on Twitter loved Hart’s appearance on the Manningcast, with some saying he was one of their favorite guest stars so far.
One of the most talked about moments, however, was at the end: The Mannings kicked Hart off the show without giving him any warning. As the show started to go to commercial, they thanked him for his time.
He quickly responded, “Wait, what? Huh?”
Never a dull moment with Hart and the Mannings.
